The battlefield reeked with fear. The enemy knew they were going to get attacked. They shook in their sandals and looked around in anticipation of their annihilation. But on the otherside of the battle line stood the javelin throwers. Their projectile weapon as slender and lean as their battle tested figures. The battle horn was sounded and the javelin throwers rush the line, hurling their sharp spears into the melee, exacting annihilation in a down poor of high speed missiles. Then, the sword would be removed from its sheath to conduct hand to hand combat as the javelin throwers ran into battle in one smooth transition. This was the job of the javelin thrower.
In finance, it is called a discount. One example of this is paying a dollar for something worth two dollars. Ones money can be saved through these discounts. A javelin thrower looks for discounts before making a purchase. In this way, one can make good decisions on what to buy and save at the same time.
Whether one is on the battlefield or in the shopping line, it may seem to be a constant battle to get through life wounded by those around the individual. There is a healing and refreshing fountain that gives neverending life and that is Christ Jesus. He came to the world to save it from the pain of death. He died on the cross for the sins of the world and was in hades for three days. But on the third day, he rose from the grave and ascended into heaven to prepare rooms for life eternal. Peace everlasting.
